DO Cava · Brut Nature

An elegant organic rosé cava, crafted from the Mataró grape, Alella’s most genuine variety, sharing its name with the capital of the Maresme region. After a gentle 10-hour maceration to achieve its delicate hue, the grapes are softly pressed to obtain the first pressing must, fermented in stainless steel vats. Following the Traditional Method, Laietà Rosé is aged on lees for a minimum of 49 months. The Rosé concept reinforced by the complexity provided by the character of our terroir

The rosé cava that breaks the prejudice of “pink bubbly”: delicate, elegant, tasty, and persistent with fine silky bubbles.

WINE TASTING NOTES
  • Sight – The color varies by vintage, ranging from a vibrant strawberry hue to softer shades evoking terracotta.
  • Nose – Violet and red fruit aromas, typical of the Mataró variety, with an aftertaste of almonds as a result of the long ageing in bottle.
  • Palate – Fine silky bubbles on the palate. Tasty flavours resembling those of red fruit and long ageing. Marked minerality and salinity. Very tasty and persistent.

VINTAGE 2020:

A very rainy spring caused a great vegetative growth with the consequent problems of fungal attacks (mildew) on the grapes, causing an exceptional limited production in our area. Also noteworthy are the losses of grapes caused by wild boars during the pandemic (Covid-19). Low-yields vineyards combined with the intense heat of August have produced a very fast grape ripening, becoming the earliest harvest in the last few years. A vintage with reduced harvest and good quality.

2020/12

““[…] Complex, with notes of grapefruit, florals, toasty notes and a dry and pure palate with a salty finish that gives it character and allows a good transition between the aperitif and the meal. The stylish design of the bottle is a plus in times of celebration. “
