“Our boldest and cheekiest sparkling wine from Mataró!”
The hoopoe (Upupa epops, known as Puput in Catalan) is a distinctive and unmistakable bird, often seen flying over vineyards, orchards and cultivated fields.
Pét-Nat is a French term for “Pétillant Naturel”, a naturally sparkling wine, made using the ancestral method.
WINE TASTING NOTES
- Sight – Raspberry color, slightly cloudy due to yeast in suspension (typical of its production method).
- Nose – Aromas of red fruits (raspberries, pomegranates, gooseberry) and floral notes of violet.
- Palate – Dry wine with a fizzy crunchy bubble. Expressive and fresh with a predominant flavor of red fruit and lovely citrus notes (grapefruit).
VINTAGE 2025
After several years of drought, the 2025 vintage began with a spring full of generous rainfall, bringing vitality and balance back to the vineyard. The warm summer led to a rapid ripening, which meant we had to be extra selective at the grape intake to avoid any health issues. Towards the end of the harvest, it was necessary to separate grapes by quality. This vintage, with a very good yield, is marked by balanced wines with bright acidity and intense aromatic expression, promising excellent development in the bottle.
