Mireia narrates her first contacts with the world of wine, the influence of her parents, her commitment to sustainability and the adaptation of viticulture to climate change. She also explores the creation of Celler de les Aus, the winery dedicated to wines and sparkling wines without added sulfites, and the importance of wine tourism for the winery, offering unique experiences for wine lovers.

“They have influenced me a lot in a good way: they have taught me to value and love our territory and to develop a project in a place with a wine tradition, particularly instilling in me the value of recovering the history of the place.”

Alta Alella Mirgin receives the ‘T del Vino’ Award from Tapas Magazine

Tapas honors the most outstanding wineries in the different Spanish regions and selects Alta Alella and Mirgin representing Catalonia

Tapas magazine presented on June 10th the first edition of the T del Vino Awards, with a selection of “17 essential wines in any good wine cellar”, amongst which Alta Alella Mirgin is included. Each of these wines recognizes one winery per Autonomous Community of Spain, “with the potential to become a national and world wine reference”, according to the organization.

The award-winning wines have been selected by a jury composed of prominent sommeliers from each autonomous community.

During the ceremony, held at the Hotel Santo Mauro in Madrid, the first edition of the ‘Tapas Guide: 365 wines to toast all year round’ was presented, an initiative that follows on from the six previous editions of the Tapas Guide dedicated to gastronomy.

“Alta Alella; this is the winery where excellence flies high” – Cupatges

Cupatges, the Catalan online media dedicated to wine and gastronomy, publishes an extensive report on Mireia Pujol-Busquets and her role in the Alta Alella winery. Territory, quality and sustainability are the three pillars on which the journalist, Lourdes López, focuses.

“Mireia Pujol-Busquets, deputy director of the winery and member of the second generation, is the woman in front. She is a leading and determined woman who defends that this is her place, her vineyard, her home and her family’s. She has a bee in her bonnet about a major challenge for the future: to make constantly better wines that represent the territory, honest and well made. And all this, while taking care of this beautiful landscape where the winemaking cooperative movement was born at the beginning of the 20th century; where sustainability is imperative”, the journalist states.

Pujol-Busquets Family, among the fifteen DO Cava Integral Producers

The journalist Paz Álvarez highlights in El País Gastro “The 15 ‘Pata Negra’ families of cava”, referring to the 15 wineries that hold the quality and traceability stamp Integral Producer. Among them is Alta Alella, owned by the Pujol-Busquets family. “This is the result of our passion, which has led us to live next to our vineyards and turn it into a special place,” Mireia Pujol-Busquets explains to Álvarez.

AUS Rosé Pét-Nat, amongst the favorites Jordi Luque

The ancestral wine from Celler de les Aus is one of the wines highlighted in his article for Beber Magazine, the digital media specialized in beverages.

On April 15 and 16 was held in Barcelona a new edition of the independent fair of natural wines Vella Terra, in which Mireia Pujol-Busquets joined with Celler de les Aus. Jordi Luque, a communicator with a focus on gastronomy, attended the event and published his favorite wines, from amongst those he tasted, in Beber Magazine.

The selection includes the ancestral AUS Rosé Pét-Nat 2022, which he defines as “Delicious, fruity and crisp”. “We are, from our point of view, in front of the best producer of ancestral wines, understood as the cleanest and without defects, in Spain,” says about Mireia.

Committed to nature

The Celler de les Aus project began in 2006, with the production of the first sulfite-free cava. Led by Mireia Pujol-Busquets, this winery is Alta Alella’s most visible commitment to sustainability.

The family continues its pursuit of offering natural wines and cavas made without added sulfites. A dynamic winery full of experience, with a burning desire to improve and a deep appreciation for exceptional work.
